Where it started

In the spring of 2007 I was lucky enough to be unpacking and going through baby ball python shipments after hours at a south Florida wholesaler. One week I came across three babies that were all identical and deep in their first sheds. I had a good feeling that the look was genetic because the babies were the same color, had the same pattern, and they were all the same size. I was sure they were all siblings and I secured them. I was blown away after their first sheds and this is what I called one of my 'import' animals.

I thought that they may have been another form of a 'black pastel' ball python but in the fall of 2008 I was very lucky to have produced a couple of clutches of babies from a GHI male bred to a pastel female. I was thrilled to see that the Pastel GHI was not what we know as a pewter...which is a black pastel x pastel cross or a cinnamon x pastel cross. This two gene combo was the result of the first pastel x GHI breeding.

Below are some more GHIs and GHI combos I have made.
